Well, friends, this is it...I'll be moving to Connecticut tomorrow along with my family. I'll be leaving Wikipedia for a while until everything gets set up at our new home. It all depends on my Internet access, but I'll be seeing you in a week or two. Bye! --Slgr@ndson (page - messages - contribs) 01:58, 25 August 2006 (UTC) Your comment on the candidature of the article "Thiruvananthapuram" for selected article : "Unwilling Object. The article is of fine quality, but completely lacks internal references. " But, I found internal references in the article. Can you please clarify in that ? -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me...) :-) 05:59, 25 August 2006 (UTC) Thank you very much for the clarification. I will add the inline references. India Selected ArticlesHi Ambuj. Are the criteria for SAC the same as in FAC (WIASA reads like WIAFA)? I am thinking of commenting on these articles. Should I scrutinize them as carefully as if I would an FAC? - Aksi_great (talk - review me) 18:45, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
ThanksThanks for the award. :) It's very unusual! =Nichalp «Talk»= 15:06, 28 August 2006 (UTC) Re:IIT KharagpurHi Ambuj - here are the points which IMO you need to fix:
In accordance with my concern over the length, I'm not asking for or expecting much more data - again, I'm only trying to push you a bit more into IIT-K specific stuff. I definitely feel there is no need for so many citations. If you find yourself doing a balancing act, then choose in favor of IIT-K specific info and remove some of the repetitive stuff. Basically these are a few venues in which you can prolly try to write a para or 2. Baaki, I think this article will be ready for FAC once you finish copyediting on Spangineer and Tony's guidelines. I will help you in that. Should be ready by the weekend. Rama's arrow 16:27, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Edit HistoryCan you restore my edit history on my userpage page please. Abdullah Geelah 17:23, 28 August 2006 (UTC) Q on India portalHi Ambuj - for long time I've been unable to understand why there is a "Selected article" nomination, approval process for India portal. Why was this created, and why is it consideed necessary? I just don't see the call for such an elaborate process that attracts no particular attention and is largely a duplicate of the FAC process and criteria. To me, it appears like a waste of time - any article of substantial content and good length, with no outstanding content/POV disputes should be selected for display. Any good-looking pic with proper source, license should be displayed. The same articles and pictures have been rotated over and over again. It is also consuming the time of editors like you and Akash, which could be easily spent elsewhere. Rama's arrow 15:35, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
FR/DP/FD ReviewHi Ambuj - if you have time, please do take a look at this article. Shreshth and I are prepping for another FAC, and could really use your green light. Thanks, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me...) :-) 10:53, 3 September 2006 (UTC) IIT-K revisionYo - I've taken a few liberties in copyediting, removing citations and shaving off the size. In all, I've tried to remove "unnecessary" material and citations, correct grammar and format issues and reduce the size, which has dropped by 7kb. Please check my revisions to make sure that I've not erred. Rama's arrow 23:02, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

HiHello Ambuj. A couple of months ago I submitted Daniel Webster for FA status and you didn't think it was ready; Would you be willing to comment/vote on its current candidacy now? A noteworthy difference between this candidacy and the last is the presence of significantly more criticism of Webster. It's sidebar redesign voting time! Yes, the community has narrowed it down to 3 different options, and a vote for the same old original sidebar is a choice one could vote for as well. Voting for multiple options is allowed, and discussion on the whole shebang is right there on the vote page itself. Hi Ambuj, saw you online. Quick question. Can you please check Talk:Chhotanagpur Front. I just assessed the article but now I see only Template WP:India written there. Do you see the actual template with the ratings etc? I am a bit confused. Also, when I go to the history of Chidambaram Subramaniam, I see the article but if I click on the current article, it says that the article does not exist. Is my computer acting funny or is it something to do with wikipedia? -- Lost(talk) 10:24, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Indian cricket teamHey Ambuj. On WT:INCOTW an anon advised me to change image formats in the Indian cricket team page with the following comment. Wrong image formats: Maps and diagrams should be svg (As Ambuj); logo should be png . I'm not sure whether As Ambuj is meant to be Ask Ambuj but I don't really know how to convert them so I would be grateful if you could do it or ask someone who can do it to do it. Thanks. Clean upThanks for the compliments. I have put up a notice on the Arunram's talk page for the significance of Portal:India/Backissues and like others. He is the creator of those pages and Portal:India itself. But he seems to be more active now. I think we should discuss for deletion of those pages. They might be significant anyhow. What you say? I am nominating them for deletion if you do not have any problem. Shyam (T/C) 15:17, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
