WelcomeWelcome! Hello, AJseagull1, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place NamesYep, that's much better, though a couple of those names have already been mentioned. Also think sources; I know IP Freely is from The Simpsons, for example. CanadianCaesar Cæsar is turn’d to hear 06:06, 15 May 2006 (UTC) HagridYes, it should probably be removed as well. It was late, and I didn't want to go whole hog on the article. Please, feel free to remove it as well, if you haven't already. Thanks for catching my oversight. :) - Arcayne (cast a spell) 17:17, 9 August 2007 (UTC) AfD nomination of Yavneh Day SchoolI have nominated Yavneh Day School, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yavneh Day School. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Botany SeriesPlease don't add this. We already have a theme template on all the major pages. We don't need another one. --EncycloPetey (talk) 02:26, 1 April 2008 (UTC) PS - the last template formatted like yours was very poorly received at WP:PLANTS. --EncycloPetey (talk) 02:29, 1 April 2008 (UTC) Image:BertHölldobler2008.jpgHi did you take this pic?Genisock2 (talk) 15:57, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
ApiologistsHave replied on my and the article talk page. The problem, if you think about it, is not with this article or these "notable" people but what would happen if Wikipedia went down the road you propose? Far less responsible editors will have a field day. Setwisohi (talk) 22:20, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Re:Notable MyrmecologistsSure. No problem. I plan on doing their biographies later. --Wloveral (talk) 19:36, 8 July 2008 (UTC) License tagging for File:SEAL schenectady.gifThanks for uploading File:SEAL schenectady.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:08, 30 April 2009 (UTC) WikiBirthdayI saw from here that it's been exactly three years since you joined the project. Happy WikiBirthday! SurveyA new user asked for help in getting some Wikipedians to complete this survey - anonymous, and only for research. If you have a few spare minutes, perhaps you could complete it. Cheers, Chzz ► 06:07, 10 April 2010 (UTC) Re: Reflist Error Message
I just edited the New way disambiguation page, and am getting an error: Cite error: There are < ref > tags on this page, but the references will not show without a Reflist template or a < references/ > tag; see the help page. I have Reflist on the page and can't figure out what the problem is. Also the last section "Towns" isn't showing up. Please help. Cheers, AJseagull1 (talk) 21:20, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

We're chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community around the world, including those from readers, editors, and donors. Stories are absolutely essential for any non-profit to persuade new people to support the cause, and we know the vast network of people who use Wikipedia have so much to share. Until this year, Wikipedia has largely relied upon personal appeals from founder Jimmy Wales to drive our annual fundraising efforts. Now we seek to convey the incredible diversity of people who've come to rely upon Wikipedia every day. I'd really like the opportunity to interview you to tell your story, with the possibility of using it in our materials, on our community websites, or as part of this year’s fundraiser to encourage others to support Wikipedia. I'm hoping you will elaborate on your story with me, either over the phone, by Skype, by facebook, by email, or any means you like. Please let me know if you're inclined to take part in the Wikipedia Stories Project and we'll set up a good time to discuss further. We noticed though that when you edited Cher Lloyd, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Romany (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale. If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:05, 16 July 2018 (UTC) |
