Balkans theatre

Hi, I'm not sure why you reverted my edit, but because the sfn templates are now invalid again, the page is back on the Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors list. If you would like more explanation, I'm happy to help. Andy02124 (talk) 01:37, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted your edit as it messed up the infobox sorry about that 34780jgri (talk) 13:32, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I restored the sfn fixes and one missing curly bracket, which probably was my fault and I'm chagrined that I didn't catch it the first time around. The page is off the error list. Andy02124 (talk) 15:13, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
no problem 34780jgri (talk) 16:12, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

German Capture of Moresnet moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to German Capture of Moresnet. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Information icon Hi 34780jgri! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Eastern Front (World War I) several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Eastern Front (World War I), please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Remsense ‥  23:44, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at World War I. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Remsense ‥  00:38, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Ukrainian–Soviet War. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. We do not get to coin our own names for historical events. Remsense ‥  06:42, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you read the pages on the Ukrainian Wikipedia, they are considered 2 different wars or at least its two phases of the same war so that's why I changed it. I understand why you disagree with me on the naming convention but I think in the date it should have 2 phases like how i put it 34780jgri (talk) 18:12, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Categorization of World War I battles

Hi 34780jgri here is Timixion. Yesterday I noticed that you have expanded the article List of Military Engagements of World War, which is of course good but I have some notes on your modification and because I did not delete it immediately, which according to Wikipedia itself could be frustrating :) I preferred to discuss with you.

1. In your newly created section Allied Occupation of Aegean Islands, in addition to the Kastellorizo occupation only occupation related to Dardanelles Campaign. In my opinion, these engagements should be put into the Gallipoly section and the cast of Kastellorizo back to section "Other Military Engagements".

2. Rebellions you have included in the Dissolution of Austria-Hungary (Cattaro mutiny, Judenburg Mutiny, Rumburk Rebellion, and the Prešov Rebellion) I do not think the collapse of the monarchy. Although were caused by the state weakening, they did not play any roles in the end and certainly did not cause the fall of Austria-Hungary. As for the Green Cadres, I think it should be included in the article such as Banditry of Green Cadres or as Banditry in Austria-Hungary During First World War and danes to the section ''Other Military Engagements of the European Theater''.

3. The 1918 occupation of Međimurje did not begin until November 3 (today is the anniversary), i.e. two days after the end of the war. It should rather be listed in the "Co-belligerent conflicts" section.

4. You have added references to Banat Republic and Bavaria to the article which are not military engagements. In my opinion, the links should be renamed events and the article should include only declarations of states that were violent.

- You may have a different opinion to modify the article and that is why I I try to discuss. Maybe it looks like your editing is wrong, but I think it's good that the site keeps expanding, I just think the information could be presented differently. I would also like to know your opinion and agree together on how the page will look.

PS: Sorry for any text errors. I am from the Czech Republic, I do not know much English and I use a translator for most things. Timixion (talk) 15:51, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Timixion. thanks for messaging me.
1 I added the Page the Allied Occupation of Aegean Islands as although the Islands of Imbros and Tenedos were both occupied for the Dardanelles campaign they continued to be occupied until the end of the war. Chios was occupied due to the National Schism. I understand why you want to put them under the Gallipoli section and the National Schism section but I believe they could go under a section together.
2 I included the listed Cattaro mutiny, Judenburg mutiny, and Rumburk rebellion as although they didn't contribute to the weakening and Dissolution of Austria-Hungary, I believe that the emphasize Austria Hungary's dissolution. I added the Green Cadres as during my research on them I found out there were many engagements between them and Austria Hungary. I was thinking thinking of making an article called The Austro-Hungarian Theatre of WWI or something like that including these battles and all of the events involving Austria Hungary's dissolution until November 13th.
3 I included the 1918 occupation of Međimurje as Novemeber 13th when the occupation started is the same day the Armistice of Belgrade was signed into effect.
4 I included the Banat republic as later in the article it discusses the allies occupying it if I remember correctly Nov 13. I added it also as the declaration of Czechoslovakia was also included in the section and the Banat Republic. I Included the People's State of Bavaria for a similar reason. 34780jgri (talk) 21:44, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Thank you very much for the explanation. In that case, in the section on the dissolution of Austria-Hungary, I will redo the year from 1918 to 1914 - 1918 because of the green cadres. If I want to discuss something else, I will write. Timixion (talk) 08:05, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
