I don't see what's wrong in it. The etymology could be sourced otherwise indeed, feel free to change it if you want. As for the French pronunciation, I am a native speaker so I know how cédille is usually pronounced. As for the confusion with the ogonek, their resemblance is quite obvious, no need to source such a thing. I will restore my version, free to anybody to improve what seems perfectible to them. 193.54.167.164 (talk) 09:56, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
Obviousness is not the same for everybody, I admit it, but this one is purely visual, I suppose your eyes are not quite different from mines. 193.54.167.164 (talk) 10:16, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
I think WP:G1 is incorrectly used when nonsense=ridiculous instead of the intended meaning of nonsense=gibberish. That's why I suggested G3.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:08, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
Hello, thank you for drawing my attention to the edits I have made. Would you mind explaining a little what I did wrong, so I can learn from it? I checked via "view changes," but couldn't see anything related to my edits. I see the word and came out as nd which is definitely a grammatical error but not intentional as the editor makes a suggestion and I click it to correct the word, but it seems that sometimes that word is inserted incorrectly, so I shall be more careful and double check. Bijou1995 (talk) 14:53, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
Hi @Bijou1995, grammatical errors can normally easily be seen via view changes, but there are other things to look out for.
First: Always leave an edit summary so others can understand your edits better.
Second: Use the Manual of Style to make sure your punctuation and other things are correct.
Third: If you need help, ask at the Teahouse or get a Mentor to help with your early edits.
You made a mistake bro, because similar articles are repeatedly used, so I introduced it under the Emergence of the Bodo-Garo as a lingua-franca segment.
It's also using in a biased manner, it's creolized or not doesn't matter, it's better to use linguafranca only in the heading.
Its like if someone named "Kumar" got only one ball, we still call him by his name "Kumar" rathar calling him "One balled Kumar".
Hello 1AmNobody24. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Red Hill Railroad, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: It is correct that this is copied an pasted from https://wiki.fibis.org/w/Red_Hill_Railroad. (That website has a Wikipedia article: Families In British India Society). Every page on https://wiki.fibis.org/ has this message at the bottom: "Content is available under Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike unless otherwise noted." I haven't looked into this in any depth as yet, but it would not appear to fall under the WP:G12 speedy deletion criterion . Thank you. Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 09:12, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
@1AmNobody24 and Raybellrich:Short version: 1AmNobody24, it looks like you know more about this than I do. Long version: (there isn't a long version yet, but it appears it may well include an apology to 1AmNobody24) Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 09:31, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
Hello 1AmNobody24. When going through, finding and reverting copyright violations, please ensure you request revision deletion by using the template Template:Copyvio-revdel. And on another note, I don't believe it is appropriate for you to place a list of "Wikipedians you don't like" on your userpage and would recommend you remove this. Thanks, --Ferien (talk) 13:03, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
Hi @Ferien, not every Copyright Violation needs to be RevDeld. See WP:CRD and i think it's appropriate to have it there, if it's against policy, then please point out which one. 1AmNobody24 (talk) 22:15, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
@Ferien I had that discussion with @Nthephere, where he wrote: The main things to remember is that the main criteria for RD1 revdel is blatant copyvio. To me that means no or minimal attempt to attribute the source. If the person adding the content has made reasonable attempts, even if wrong, to cite the source, I may well decline the revdel and leave it as removal of the offending content is sufficient. That's my opinion, other admins may take a different view. That's what I've been applying when requesting RevDel. 1AmNobody24 (talk) 06:23, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
Yes, I would agree with that. I had requested revdel for a copyright violation you had already reverted (Rohan Gunaratna) and the revision you removed was still revdelled, so was just letting you know to perhaps request it more. --Ferien (talk) 19:47, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
Pending changes reviewer granted
Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.
Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.
Hello, I believe you have made a mistake on this, or at the very least rolled this page back to a much earlier state than necessary. I added one sentence which you believe to be the offending one, as we speak, i am on the website where the source is cited, I do get i should have cited this beforehand however it completely slipped my mind, apoligies over this.
However, i have spent numerous hours upating and citing relevant sources on this page, and you have completely removed every trace of it all, i think is a big oversight in this process as i believe everything i have done previously over the past few days to be completely fine, and therefore would ask if you could revert the page back to what it was just 20 minutes ago, and i can cite the source of the offending sentence. Kalumbus (talk) 19:07, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
Furthermore i should add as someone who lives nearby and sees and visits the site itself regularly, I do know what i am talking about, i know from the perspective of yourself this may not matter as much, however everything i added was completelt factual and as i say i have the relevant source to cite right infront of me. Kalumbus (talk) 19:09, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
Hi @Kalumbus, i just went over your edits again and you are right! I rollbacked too much and have now restored the version before your last edit. Quick note: The history section need sources otherwise it could get deleted as being unsourced. 1AmNobody24 (talk) 19:13, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
First thank you very much, and yes i am aware, I will do my best to find sources to back up the History section, again many thanks Kalumbus (talk) 19:15, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
Please review WP:CSD before tagging any more pages for deletion so you better understand the different criteria and what namespace they apply to. For example, you tagged a page CSD A7 but it was a draft article and A7 doesn't apply to Draft space. I'm not sure if you are thinking about trying to become a New Page Patroller but you'll have to be very accurate in your deletion tagging to gain that permission. Good luck. LizRead!Talk!06:12, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
@Liz Yeah that A7 was a mistake. A's are only for Article's. That was just a honest mistake (copied the wrong template). I always read WP:CSD before tagging, this time i wanted to tag for G11 only :/
Hello 1AmNobody24. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Talk:Pizza Tower/GA1, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not blatantly vandalism or a hoax. Thank you. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 17:22, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Hi @Ivanvector, i tagged it for something different and another user changed the reason. I'm fine with the decline of it, i just thought that the ip (vandal) should not create a ga review. 1AmNobody24 (talk) 23:40, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
I see what you mean, yeah. You tagged it without a criterion, which is a reason to reject a speedy deletion outright, so I think it was right to re-tag as WP:G3 (which is the vandalism criterion). I did consider your rationale anyway, but I declined because I don't think it's blatant vandalism: you're right that it's odd for an IP to create a GA review, and their edit summary suggests vandalism, but the page itself is fine.
But in retrospect I'm reconsidering. The GA review instructions say you must be logged in to start a review (WP:GAN/I#R2), and creating the review page sets off a series of automatic actions. The review is also supposed to be completed in a timely manner, but there's no reliable way to follow up with unregistered users. I'm going to delete this and try to set things right, so that a good-faith GA reviewer can create the page at the right time, but I need a bit to figure out how to do that. Hello, and thank you for removing vandalism from HowToBasic. We appreciate this, but unfortunately your edit was not successful in restoring the article to its pre-vandalised state. For future reference, it is better to deal with vandalism by checking the article's page history to determine how it appeared before it was vandalised. You can then restore the whole article, or the relevant part of it, to an appropriate earlier version. If you simply delete the visible vandalism then any content removed or overwritten by the vandal is lost. See How to deal with vandalism for details. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me)07:14, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
Hello. I answered my discussion section. Where did you get the official seal of Wallis and Futuna? The French Wikipedia is not an official seal, but the sentence I just revised is correct, which means that in France, sentences are used, not seals. What's the reason? I don't think there was any discussion, did you agree? --220.77.94.153 (talk) 06:31, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
You edited Coat of arms of Wallis and Futuna as well. There it said Unofficial coat of arms of Wallis and Futuna and Official seal of Wallis and Fatuna, which you changed to coat of arms of Wallis and Futuna.
Hi 1AmNobody24, you reverted my change tool->thing in the literal translations of Texas German for vandalism. Just wanted to let you know, 'Zeug' in German literally means something close to 'thing'. It is usually not used in the singular, the plural 'Zeugs' is used as unspecific 'things' or 'stuff'. The suffix '-zeug' is commonly used for example in 'Flugzeug' ('flight thing'=airplane) or 'Werkzeug' ('work thing'=tool) or 'Putzzeug' ('cleaning things'=cleaning supplies).
<br/> is *not* a lint error and does not need correcting. The only time I see break tags being problematic is when they are written "backwards" as </br> which trigger some various stripped tag issues for other tags. Otherwise, <br/> is harmless and correcting them is not needed and does not warrant an edit just to adjust them. Zinnober9 (talk) 19:58, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
I don't think it's a very good idea to put a list of "Wikipedians you don't like" on your user page as it might be a potential WP:CIVIL violation. Can you please remove it if possible? -- Shadowof theStarlit Sky02:09, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
Because you know it may not violate WP:CIVILITY but is actually bullying? Discriminatory lists are discrimination whether Wikipedia allows it or not. 92.3.116.209 (talk) 10:29, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
The information about him was not plagiarism and it is covered by actual court documents that are made public. Kazuma909 (talk) 06:00, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
It does matter because it's the truth backed up by court documentation that is a matter of PUBLIC record. I'm sure if it was about Donald Trump we wouldn't be having this conversation. But I suppose wikipedia likes to protect child predators huh? Kazuma909 (talk) 06:28, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
No that if it was Donald Trump we wouldn't be having this conversation? So the truth is suppressed even if it's an ugly truth. Ok then. Kazuma909 (talk) 06:35, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
I have declined your speedy deletion request of Draft:Philomena Cunk. You did not use any of the standard speedy deletion templates and instead stated it was G3 because it was copied 1:1 from Diane Morgan. G3 covers vandalism and hoaxes. It is unclear which you meant but in any case, it is neither. The draft is not a hoax as Philomena Cunk is a fictional character, and the draft is not trying to pass this off as a real person. Copying text is not vandalism, and is instead unattributed copying within Wikipedia which can be repaired by providing the attribution which I have done. -- Whpq (talk) 13:09, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
What is your reason for deleting over 60% of a page, back to a post that is effectively several years old? (The revert was a point that someone else reverted to, removing most of the adjustments for many years) The primary resource is now an industry investor (the .org is misleading and the LinkedIn page is not a 'community') and a single academic institution rather than a list of books, articles, and community resources? Even the history is now incorrect - as the industry did not start at Stanford (something the deleted sources indicate). Prtnml (talk) 10:50, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
You wrote in your edit summary that you were ' Reverting to last stable version', but it was not the stable version. @I dream of horses wrote in his edit summary that he removed your content because it was written promotionally (WP:PROMO). If you disagreed with his edit you should have started a discussion on the article's talk page not restored it with a misleading edit summary. Nobody (talk) 11:03, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
Understood. Apologies. I missed that. I would not have minded alterations to my additions (Which were not promotional but I'll take that up with them), but they actually removed YEARS of inputs from multiple users. The revert they used was itself a revert that was changed. It was a huge cut that they made to take the article back to incorrect and outdated information. Prtnml (talk) 13:42, 16 May 2023 (UTC)

I wanted to ask you about my article Edgard Kagan, specifically why it was flagged for a copyright violation. Yes, I did primarily use the White House website for the article (at least for now), but I made sure to reference it at the end of the paragraph and I made sure to substantially change the text. A page analysis of the article also shows that a violation is "unlikely". I wanted to clear this up with you so that there wouldn't be any misunderstandings (specifically you because it shows that you reviewed the page). Any guidance or help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Losipov (talk) 17:16, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
Hi @LosipovHere you can see what it flagged. It mainly hit the names of his jobs/workplaces and not whole sentences which is not uncommon for newly created BLP's. I've reviewed your edit as 'not a copyright violation', since it was obvious you didn't copy from the article. There's no need for you to change anything and keep doing the good work you do. Cheers Nobody (talk) 05:08, 8 June 2023 (UTC)

iThenticate reports
Hi 1AmNobody24. Thanks for your help with copyright cleanup. I just stopped by to let you know that there's a problem with the way you've been offering links to the iThenticate reports: People have to access them via the CopyPatrol interface, or they won't be logged in. So what you need to do is provide them with a link to the related CopyPatrol report and tell them to click on the iThenticate link. Then they will be logged in to the system via our subscription attached to that page, and will be able to view the report. — Diannaa (talk) 16:30, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
II didn't know that. I`ll just use the direct link to the specific report from now on. Thanks for informing me. Nobody (talk) 17:25, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
The "Official Point Blank Bio" was what Rusty Burns always called "The best bio of Point Blank ever written." The second link called "Startin' Point Blank's Automobile & More on Volume 9" is the last known interview with lead singer John O'Daniel and is a historical document. How do I know this? I WORKED FOR THE BAND! They have both appeared on this page for years prior to the vandalism that occurred. I do not care how you insert them but insert them as they have always been pursuant to wishes from the band members themselves. I noticed that you nominated this article for copyright violation. As per the Copyvios reports, there appear to be no such violation. Did you check the URL carefully? If you are referring to another URL then update the notice with a new link, else take down the notice. Biting a newcomer is not good. Regards. Hitro talk11:26, 23 June 2023 (UTC)

@The Royal Herald If you have a reference, then add it to the article. If you add content to articles without references, the chance you will be reverted for adding unsourced content is quite high. Nobody (talk) 07:44, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Ca was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Press releases, interviews, and sources affiliated with Schlegel does not establish notability. In particular, Swiss National Bank is not a independent source because Schlegel works there.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Martin Schlegel (economist) and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.

Please add some independent sources that have coverage of the festival to help demonstrate notability. Good options for film festivals include articles published day of or soon after by critics who attended the festival. Coverage of audience reaction to films, attendance, or even a post-festival broad review of a variety of films can all help with this.

Hi, I made some changes to the Wikipedia page of the organisation for which I work and I used our website as a reference, when possible. In the beginning the changes were acepted but now I see that there has been a problem. Can I please have more explenation on that? 161.111.113.69 (talk) 15:54, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
@161.111.113.69: Hi and thanks for reaching out. Since you seem new to editing Wikipedia, I will explain a few things you must look out for:
1. You have tried editing the article of the organisation you are part of. This is considered a Conflict of interest Here's a few quotes from there that might/do apply to you: Conflict of interest (COI) editing involves contributing to Wikipedia about yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or your financial and other relationships. Any external relationship can trigger a conflict of interest. / COI editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. ... If COI editing causes disruption, an administrator may opt to place blocks on the involved accounts. / Editors with a COI, including paid editors, are expected to disclose it whenever they seek to change an affected article's content. Also See WP:COIEDIT for future changes you want to make to the article.
3. Some of your additions didn't compy with Wikipedia's Manual of Style. For Example: In this edit you added the text More information about the YERUN Brussels office is available on the YERUN website., which is not only a Manual of Style violation (since you used an External link instead of a Reference), but also written way too promotional for Wikipedia (See WP:NOTADVERT).
I hope this helps and feel free to ask me more. You might also want to check out the Teahouse were you can get your questions answered by experienced editors. Sincerely Nobody (talk) 18:12, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
Re. your email
I'd just keep an eye on them for now. The account usage is sequential, which isn't a violation of policy in itself (they may have wanted to change their username, etc.) If you have enough AGF, the IP editing could be explained away as accidental. The edits are not very good, of course, and if they continue to be disruptive AIV might be more efficient than SPI. Spicy (talk) 15:14, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
