December 2024

The upper limit that I've observed is a year, I think. But I was only an admin from 2007 - 2011, and didn't recall this edit until you mentioned it. If you want it lifted, then you should contact and an admin and request it. If it helps, I support the lifting of it. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 02:09, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Brad Bradford, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 22:06, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Brad Bradford. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 22:06, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There are no sources that say he was born (or ever) "Bradford Bradford." The video interview with him and his mother make it clear that at the time his mother changed his surname to Bradford, he established his given name as "Brad." OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:46, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You have misrepresented (a) the policy, (b) my position, and (c) the sources, but all these things are best discussed on the talk page. 174.93.89.27 (talk) 23:34, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Salim Halali. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Edit

Although I disagree, regarding "Italy" and "Kingdom of Italy" you win. Since you care so much, I suggest you remove it from all Italian singers born during the Kingdom of Italy (in the past, I had added it to all of them). Thanks in advance. JacktheBrown (talk) 17:53, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have no horse in this race, but it seems to me that this should have been discussed on the Guccini talk page rather than warred over. Barefoot through the chollas (talk) 18:09, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. Once JacktheBrown was reverted, he should have taken it to the talk page. That's what BRD is about. 174.93.89.27 (talk) 00:35, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Easy does it... Either one of you could have initiated discussion in Talk. Barefoot through the chollas (talk) 19:08, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
According to WP:BRD, once reverted, the original editor doesn't revert back until the discussion takes place. You're right that it doesn't matter who initiates the discussion (though I note that WP:BRD says that it should be the original editor), but it does matter that the original editor not respond to the revert by reverting back. 174.93.89.27 (talk) 23:23, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Kingdom

The George Soros page has "Kingdom", so I guess I'm right. JacktheBrown (talk) 20:27, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No, what I mean is that this page is very controlled, so if "Kingdom" is present here there's a reason. JacktheBrown (talk) 03:35, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
