The Nevada Independent is an American nonpartisan, nonprofit news and opinion website founded in 2017 by veteran political journalist and commentator Jon Ralston.[1] It focuses on the Nevada Legislature and stories from across the state in government, policy, politics and business.[2]

The publication also host events across Nevada including IndyTalks and IndyFest, their annual two-day event held each year in the fall in Las Vegas.[3]
