The Duke is the 18th studio album by English musician Joe Jackson. The album was first released on 22 June 2012 in Continental Europe by earMUSIC and was released in the US on 26 June by Razor & Tie Recordings.[6][7]

The album is a tribute to Duke Ellington, the American composer, pianist, and bandleader of a jazz orchestra.

Upon its release, The Duke received generally positive reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 59 based on 10 reviews, which indicates "mixed or average reviews".[2]

The album debuted at No. 93 on the Billboard 200,[8] and No. 1 on the Top Jazz Albums chart,[9] selling around 5,000 copies in its first week of release. The album has sold 13,000 copies in the United States as of September 2015.[10]
