Breaking up of Characters
Should we edit the box to break up characters into their respective affliations (like Roland's new ka-tet, old ka-tet, ka-tet of the rose etc.)?
Oh yea, it would be nice too if we could a cleanup of the whole dark tower category of articles. And the box could do with some redesign. (I personally find the colour pretty weird.) Chuayw200010:56, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It does seem more visually pleasing and easier to distinguish the sections for faster browsing. Could use • instead of |. Pomte15:34, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Its based off a format numerous other templates have used. And, like Pomte said, it is more visually pleasing and easier to distinguish. I'll change the | to • under Pomte's suggestion.--CyberGhostface20:00, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I added it as a heading since it doesn't fall under Organization or Glossary. Fortunately there is an article that goes under it (Lud). The horizontal look doesn't detract from navigation, I think. Pomte20:24, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I thought about putting Carrie under related books, because in the 7th book, Susannah talks about an incident similar to Carrie's at the beginning of Carrie. Not sure if it's totally related, but just a thought. (Part 5, Chapter 5, section 9 paragraph 3)
Yay or nay? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.187.253.218 (talk • contribs)
Nay. Eddie makes reference to The Shining, but that doesn't mean The Shining's connected. If the book was related, King would have bolded it in the other titles.--CyberGhostface01:38, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Randall Flagg
I don't believe that Randall Flagg works for the Red. He is more of a loner. I suggest that he be moved to a different section, although I'm not sure where else he would fit. GofG||| Talk22:34, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
He is someone who works to serve his own purpose, but he is affiliated with the Crimson King and (claims to, at least) serve the Red, so he would fit there.--CyberGhostface19:48, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think he is ever explicitly stated as being part of the ka-tet, so I have moved him back down into "other characters". If I'm mistaken, please revert with soruce. –Pomte02:19, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I always saw him as part of the ka-tet, and I also believe they say so several times. I remember Roland not being sure about whether the ka-tet would break if he died, as with Oy. However when [SPOILER!] Callahan dies they say that as it turned out he was just a temporary addition when "they needed one more", or something. Can't bother finding citations atm, but I'm pretty sure. Quispiam (talk) 03:43, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Jericho Hill?
I've only read the main series and a few of the related novels, so maybe I'm missing something, but Jericho Hill, while being the location of a significant event in Roland's life before the story, seems to me to not have been a major part of the 'actual' story. There is also not currently a page for the location. It seems to me it should be removed from the template. Any objections? BBrucker2 (talk) 20:04, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
->I'm sorry if i mess up your guys' format or whatnot, but Jericho Hill is a very important part of the story, and may be revealed in later Marvel additions. Cuthbert is currently a large part of the comic books, and so I expect them to cover that portion before too long. I may be wrong, however. So it goes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.185.74.89 (talk) 22:40, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just Past Sunset
A while ago, I added Just Past Sunset to the "related books" section of the template, only to have an anonymous user revert the edit. I don't want to start a war here, but I've re-added it to the template, seeing as how several stories in the collection are every bit as connected to The Dark Tower mythos as other works listed. --TimPendragon (talk) 02:27, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
