The Autoroute standards are very lax, mostly being expressways, 2-lane or higher, with (usually) controlled/limited access.
Route 148 was to become A-50, before that was constructed on a whole new alignment. Quebec Routes 112 and 116 are freeways for parts of their length, Quebec route 133 is divided and four-laned its whole length from A-35 to I-87. A-973 is not signed (it's a secret designation), but rather is signed as Quebec route 175 (its other route, sharing the road as a concurrency. The list like this goes on. My evidence is from google maps and from Rand McNally, as well as these websites: [1][2]. Québec doesn't have any motorways, thus an Autoroute sign should be used instead of the morotway sign. Whatever happened to the Autoroute 20 sign? -Daniel Blanchette21:26, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2006-12-12T21:26:00.000Z","author":"DanCBJMS","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-DanCBJMS-2006-12-12T21:26:00.000Z-What's_with_the_motorway_sign_on_the_template?","replies":[],"displayName":"Daniel Blanchette"}}-->
