Hi Kyoko. I thought of doing so, but couldn't come to a decision; if you check the code, you'll see ambrisentan is in there, just commented out. {{Chemotherapeutic agents}} contains drugs such as vandetanib which are still in trials; perhaps this template could follow that example? I've added in hidden comments the group statins and the drug simvastatin, which has been tried in both humans and test rats. I'm not aware of any current clinical trial of simvastatin in the US, but I think there's one in England. I didn't want to be too bold and just add it in plain view. --Kyoko04:08, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nice. I wasn't aware of the role of statins, but a quick PubMed search suggests encouraging results in humans and animal models. We should probably wait until more advanced trials are underway before making it visible though—e.g., ambrisentan is in Phase III and already has marketing validation in the EU, simvastatin is still in Phase I–II. I've been wondering whether this template should also be placed on the articles mentioned under "Adjunctive therapy". It's on the CCB and diuretics main articles, but not specifically on nifedipine and hydrochlorothiazide. It seems slightly spammy to me to put it on every single drug in the categories, and that wouldn't accurate either. --Kyoko15:50, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. Honestly, my first thought is to keep it only on the main class article... Do you think it would be better placed in specific drug articles? I'd prefer to keep the adjunctive therapy section of the template generalized. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 20:00, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, I don't think it would be better placed in the specific drug articles, but I wanted a second opinion. I especially wouldn't want the "Adjunctive therapy" section of the template to get too large. Thanks. --Kyoko21:18, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
