Collapse itThe template is too long, and is being innapropriately placed on articles where it pushes the entire content of the article a few miles down. This applies to all non-Gecko-based browsers, such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer. The article Great Peace of Montreal is one such example. Also, why is it being inlined within other existing templates? This is terrible practice. See Inuit for an example. Second of all, the template needs to be more generalised. To give you an idea, when it comes to only Canadian languages, there are over 55 of them. Factor in dialects, and you'll end up with a few hundred of them. - Also, if this template is about Aboriginal peoples of Canada, why are the Goidelic languages included (the only Canadian Goidelic language is Canadian Gaelic)? It's a European language, not an Aboriginal language of Canada. For an example of an overtly long template that's collapsable, see Template:Brahmic, or Template:Alphabet. A more appropriate template style however would be to have it horizontally oriented, rather than vertically extending. For example, Template:Writing systems. - Io Katai (talk) 19:21, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
|content9 = Aboriginal · First Nations I know Buzzz the guy who expanded this, he will not mind, and would like us to solve any problem fast! And have left just the main link to languages-that i guess in time will have them all. 174.115.165.184 (talk) 20:25, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
Buzzzsherman (talk) 21:20, 17 September 2009 (UTC) Category:Aboriginal culture in CanadaFYI, I've just created Category:Aboriginal culture in Canada to group First Nations, Inuit and Métis culture categories, and any Aboriginal culture articles we may have that span all three. Not sure if this can or should be worked into the template, but I thought I'd mention it. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 01:43, 2 October 2009 (UTC) restore 4 official symbolsDead wrong that the Maple leaf is a colonial symbol .....in fact it was picked on purpose to avoid any colonial symbolism in our flag [1]. -[2]. I also think best not to use a reginal creation myth symbol over official nationally recognized indegenos symbols [3].--Moxy- 12:14, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
