Regarding my most recent edit

Hi, I just edited this template, and I neglected to add an edit summary so I wanted to get that in writing. The main focus of this template should probably be the direct impact on the countries surrounding the Indian Ocean immediately hit by the earthquake, rather than those such as Norway and Finland that lost citizens abroad. There's a clear distinction. My edit removed the latter, though the link remains that leads to the comprehensive list of countries impacted, which would reflect the impact on Scandinavia. Just putting this here so those concerned would understand my rationale, since it won't show up in the edit history. I'm open to any comments or suggestions, or arguments as to why we should restore the older version. Thank you. TNstingray (talk) 15:03, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, my line of reasoning no longer reflects this, and I have restored the template. I must not have read the articles in question, though I guess further discussion could be necessary about expanding and verifying those pages. Thank you.
