St. Barnabas (Bahamas Parliament constituency)
St. Barnabas is a parliamentary constituency represented in the House of Assembly of the Bahamas recreated in 2017.[1] It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) using the First past the post electoral system. It has been represented by Shanendon Cartwright from the FNM since 2017.[2] The Nassau based constituency was known as New Providence South – St. Barnabas in the 20th century.[3] The seat was named St. Cecilia until 2012 when it was abolished.[4] HistoryWhen St. Barnabas was recreated for the 2017 election, it took in parts of Fort Charlotte, Bains Town and Grants Town, Centreville and Englerston.[1] Members of Parliament
