Saimum Series
The Saimum Series (Bengali: সাইমুম সিরিজ) is a novel series from Bangladesh written by Abul Asad. He published the first book in the Saimum Series, titled Operation Tel Aviv (Bengali: অপারেশন তেলআবিব-১), in 1976.[citation needed] BackgroundAbul Asad (আবুল আসাদ) was born on 5 August 1942, in the village of Narashinghpur in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He started writing articles and stories when he was a student in Class 9. Gradually, he became involved in journalism. He passed his MS in economics. As of 2011, he is the editor of The Daily Sangram. As a member of the Bangla Shahitta Parishad, all of his books in the Saimum Series are published by them.[1] PlotAhmad Musa is the protagonist of the series. The first book briefly describes his past, including the killing of his family and his flight from his homeland, Xinjiang. He attempts to help Palestine achieve its independence by rescuing Muslims and unraveling the mystery behind the destruction of the World Trade Center. Saimum Series Unicode ProjectThe volunteer Saimum Series Unicode Project (সাইমুম সিরিজ ইউনিকোড প্রোজেক্ট) has been launched to publish almost all of the Saimum Series in Unicode Bengali. The aim of this project is to spread Saimum Series internationally.[2] References
