Słobity
Słobity [swɔˈbitɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wilczęta, within Braniewo County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) west of Wilczęta, 28 km (17 mi) south of Braniewo, and 62 km (39 mi) north-west of the regional capital Olsztyn. The village had been the property of the Dohna family since 1527.[2] The last German owner of the palace Alexander zu Dohna renovated Schlobitten Palace in 1944. In March 1945 the palace was burned down and the furnishings stolen by soldiers of the Red Army.[3] Notable residents
