Linguistically the town is indigenous Gilaki-speaking as well as 5% Turkic, and Persian as the standard.[6]
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 3,594 in 1,079 households.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 3,646 people in 1,783 households.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 3,441 people in 1,220 households.[2]
