Public Health Engineering Department (KPK)
The Public Health Engineering Department is a department of the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which is responsible for the provision of clean drinking water, hygiene facilities, and a healthy environment to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The department also plans, executes, and maintains the supply of drinking water and sanitation schemes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.[1][2] Pakhtoon Yar Khan is the current minister of public health engineering.[3][4] HistoryThe department was established in 1974 as a secondary branch.[of what?] It was upgraded to an administrative department in 1992. Later in 2001, it was merged into the Communication and Works Department.
