Nordland Township is a township in Aitkin County, Minnesota, United States. There were 825 housing units at an average density of 26.4 per square mile (10.2/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 98.01% White, 0.35% African American, 0.70% Native American, 0.35% Asian, 0.23% from other races, and 0.35% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.35% of the population. There were 366 households, out of which 23.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.0% were married couples living together, 3.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.0% were non-families. 17.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.33 and the average family size was 2.61. In the township the population was spread out, with 19.0% under the age of 18, 3.2% from 18 to 24, 19.5% from 25 to 44, 34.5% from 45 to 64, and 23.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 50 years. For every 100 females, there were 100.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.4 males. The median income for a household in the township was $41,172, and the median income for a family was $44,205. Males had a median income of $35,673 versus $20,313 for females.
