Munster SquareMunster Square is a garden square in the London Borough of Camden, London, England. It is surrounded by the Regent's Park Estate. HistoryIt was formerly called 'York Market' and 'York Square'.[1] It was created by John Nash as the most southern of the three market squares serving Regents Park area, south of Clarence Gardens and Cumberland Market. The square was originally surrounded by Nash-designed terraces but was badly damaged in the Blitz so was demolished and rebuilt as part of the estate after the war. The middle of the square is a public park. The square is home of grade II*-listed St Mary Magdalene Church.[2] It was scene of a widely reported murder in 2019.[3] References
