Miss International Queen Vietnam (Vietnamese: Đại sứ Hoàn Mỹ) is a beauty pageant in Vietnam for transgender women. The winner will represent Vietnam in Miss International Queen.

The current Miss International Queen Vietnam is Nguyễn Hà Dịu Thảo from Hải Dương.

History

The contest is organized and founded by Huong Giang Entertainment (led by Miss International Queen 2018 -- Nguyen Huong Giang). The first edition was in 2018 and every 2 years there will be 1 edition, by 2025 the contest will have 4 editions.[1]

Vietnam is a country with a long tradition, so people in society have a lot of prejudice against LGBT people, but now in Vietnam people are very open and accepting of LGBT people in general and people, transgender in particular. But parallel to that is that Vietnamese law still does not recognize nor ban transgender people. Miss International Queen Vietnam contest is the only contest in Vietnam for transgender people and is also the largest media symbol of the LGBT community in Vietnam.[2]

Miss International Queen Vietnam is organized very methodically and professionally in the form of reality television, the competition framework is based on The Face Vietnam. Accordingly, the competition has coaches and qualifying rounds. At the end, there will only be 11 contestants left to enter the final to find the top 6 and top 3, then the beauty queen and 2 runners-up. Thanks to the selective selection and thorough training of contestants, Vietnam's representatives are very successful in the Miss International Queen contest and the Miss International Queen Vietnam contest is also the largest national-level of Miss International Queen pageant.[3][4][5]
