Microsynodontis batesii
Microsynodontis batesii is a species of upside-down catfish native to rivers of Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Gabon.[1][2] This species grows to a length of 10 centimetres (3.9 in) SL.[2] EtymologyThe fish is in honor of George Latimer Bates (1863–1940), a Cameroon farmer and ornithologist, who collected specimens for the Natural History Museum, London, including the holotype of this species.[3] References
