Michael Lerner (public health activist)Michael Lerner (born 1943[1]) is an American public health activist. He was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship.[2] He graduated from Harvard University and Yale University. He founded Commonweal, an organization that "supports visionary people and emergent programs to help us all create the world we want to live in".[2][3][4][5] His work with Commonweal focusses on helping children with learning and behavior disorders, providing psychosocial support services for adults with cancer and developing a socially just and ecologically sustainable future.
