Australian actress
Mia Morrissey is an Australian actress, model and singer.
Early life
The daughter of agents Peter and Lizzy Morrissey, whose clients include Chris and Liam Hemsworth , Tina Arena and Kate Ritchie , she was brought up in Sydney and wanted to be an actress from five years old.[ 1] [ 2]
Career
In 2012 Morrissey appeared aged sixteen years-old in the Damien Power short film Bat Eyes which was shown at the Venice Film Festival .[ 3] [ 4] Morrissey appeared as a singer in 2014, when she competed on season three of The Voice Australia .[ 5] She also appeared in the Australian children’s television series In Your Dreams as Lucy Bryson.[ 6]
In 2019 she joined long-running soap opera Home and Away as Jade Lennox.[ 7] She left the show in 2020.[ 8]
In 2023 she could be seen in Totally Completely Fine alongside Thomasin McKenzie .[ 9] She could also be seen as Nadiyah in Tasmania -set comedy crime drama Deadloch .[ 10]
Personal life
Morrissey has endometriosis although it was initially misdiagnosed as coeliac disease .[ 11]
