Marie RégnierMarie Régnier (July 11, 1840 in Paris – March 18, 1887 in Paris) was a French writer; a friend of Gustave Flaubert, she exchanged many letters with him. She wrote under the penname of Daniel Darc.[1] LifeBorn Marie-Sidonie Serrure, she married in 1861 Raoul-Emmanuel Régnier, a doctor, and went to live with him at Mantes-la-Jolie; she came back to live in Paris in 1881.[2][1] She was a regular contributor to the daily newspaper Le Figaro.[1] Works
