Maria Venegas
Maria Venegas is an American writer, who was born in Mexico. She immigrated to the United States at the age of four.[1] She graduated from Hunter College with an MFA in creative writing, where she was a Hertog Fellow [2] for Frank McCourt.[2] She currently lives in New York City.[1] Her memoir Bulletproof Vest received positive reviews from The New York Times,[3] NPR,[4] and Chicago Tribune.[5] Works
She has also written short stories which have appeared in Granta, The Guardian, and Ploughshares.[7] References
