American political scientist
Marc Lynch is a Professor of Political Science and International Affairs at George Washington University ,[ 1] where he is also director of both the Institute for Middle East Studies and the Middle East Studies Program.[ 1]
Lynch is also a non-resident senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security ,[ 2] and is on the editorial board of PS Political Science & Politics .[ 3]
Marc Lynch also writes a blog for Foreign Policy .[ 4] Lynch received his B.A. degree from Duke University and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Cornell University .
He is best known for coining the term Arab Spring in an article for the US political journal Foreign Policy .[ 5]
