Mahura bainhamensis
Mahura bainhamensis is a species of Agelenidae that is endemic to New Zealand.[1] TaxonomyThis species was described in 1973 by Ray Forster and Cecil Wilton from a male specimen. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.[1] DescriptionThe male is recorded at 2.50mm in length. The cephalothorax and legs are pale cream. The abdomen is coloured black dorsally with pale markings.[1] DistributionThis species is only known from near Bainham in the Tasman District, New Zealand.[1] Conservation statusUnder the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size" and "Data Poor: Trend".[2] References
