^ According to different interpretations of when Duke John I and his brother Duke Albert II definitely split their commonly ruled Duchy of Saxony into Saxe-Lauenburg and Saxe-Wittenberg, either in 1269, 1272 or 1282, one can argue, that Agnes was a co-consort (if the definite split was in 1282 only) or not (if it happened before her marriage in 1273).
^ Albert III ruled 1296–1305 with his brothers John II and Eric I. Albert ruled alone in his partitioned branch duchy Saxe-Ratzeburg until his childless death in 1308.
^ Eric I ruled between 1296 and 1305 with his brothers John II and Albert III, thereafter alone in his partitioned branch duchy Saxe-Ratzeburg-Lauenburg until his resignation in 1338.
^ Eric V rule with his brother John IV, who never married, until the latter's death in 1414.
^ Magnus II ruled with his brothers Francis II and Maurice.
^ Francis II ruled with his brothers Magnus II (till 1588) and Maurice (till 1612).
