Liberty, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma
Liberty is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, United States. Its population was 220 as of the 2010 census.[1] Liberty had a post office from August 24, 1914, until August 15, 1927.[3] GeographyAccording to the U.S. Census Bureau, the community has an area of 2.325 square miles (6.02 km2); 2.318 square miles (6.00 km2) of its area is land, and 0.007 square miles (0.018 km2) is water.[1] EducationThe school, Liberty School, made local news after the Sandy Hook shooting in 2013 by installing bomb-resistant glass in its windows and doors as a security measure. The school provides education for children in grades K - 8.[4] References
