La Vie d'artiste is a French film written and directed in 2006 by Marc Fitoussi, realised in 2007.[1]
Plot
Alice dreams of being a film or stage actress, but is now reduced to dubbing the voice of Yoko Johnson, a Japanese cartoon detective character. Bertrand is writing his second novel and aspires to literary greatness. Meanwhile, he teaches French in a secondary school. Cora hopes to break into the French songwriting world, but has to work as hostess in a karaoke bar. All three are determined to achieve their goals and it is too bad if the paths to glory are strewn with pitfalls.[1]
