Kakavand District (Persian: بخش کاکاوند) is in Delfan County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Haft Cheshmeh.[3]

History

After the 2006 National Census, the village of Haft Cheshmeh was elevated to the status of a city.[4] In 2022, Itivand-e Jonubi and Itivand-e Shomali Rural Districts were separated from the district in the formation of Itivand District.[5]

Demographics

At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 23,598 in 4,574 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 21,837 people in 5,172 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 19,127 inhabitants in 5,284 households.[2]
