District in Lorestan, Iran
Kakavand District (Persian : بخش کاکاوند ) is in Delfan County , Lorestan province, Iran . Its capital is the city of Haft Cheshmeh .[ 3]
History
After the 2006 National Census, the village of Haft Cheshmeh was elevated to the status of a city.[ 4] In 2022, Itivand-e Jonubi and Itivand-e Shomali Rural Districts were separated from the district in the formation of Itivand District.[ 5]
Demographics
At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 23,598 in 4,574 households.[ 6] The following census in 2011 counted 21,837 people in 5,172 households.[ 7] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 19,127 inhabitants in 5,284 households.[ 2]
