Justyna Maria Steczkowska (Polish pronunciation:[juˈstɨnastɛt͡ʂˈkɔfska]; born August 2, 1972) is a Polish singer, songwriter, photographer, and actress.
Biography
She was raised in a large and musically inclined family. Justyna has five sisters (Agata, Krystyna, Magdalena, Maria, Cecylia) and three brothers (Paweł, Jacek, Marcin), and played violin in a family band before becoming a solo singer. She has a four-octave vocal range.[2]
Steczkowska came to prominence in 1994 when she won a television talent show A Chance for Success with her performance of Maanam's song "Buenos Aires". She represented Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1995 with the song "Sama" ("Alone"), finishing in 18th place. Steczkowska is a recipient of numerous awards including six Fryderyk Awards and a Bronze Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture. She starred in two films: Billboard and Na koniec świata ("To the End of the World").
