Itamochi Station
Itamochi Station (板持駅, Itamochi-eki) is a passenger railway station located in the city of Nagato, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by the West Japan Railway Company (JR West).[1] LinesItamochi Station is served by the JR West Mine Line, and is located 43.3 kilometers from the junction of the San'yō Main Line at Asa. Station layoutThe station consists of one ground-level side platform serving a single bi-directional track. There is no station building and the station is unattended. HistoryItamochi Station was opened on 25 July 1958. With the privatization of the Japan National Railway (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan railway Company (JR West). The station was out of operation from 15 July 2010 to 26 September 2011 due to damage cased by flooding of the Asa River due to heavy rains.
