I Love You received mixed reviews from music critics, earning a rating of 59 out of 100 on Metacritic based on 17 reviews.[13] Billboard described the album as "guiltless fun, just like any proper quickie."[14] The Observer said "amid the sighs and groans, she [Blank] hits the pop G-spot with her savvy hooks and superlative rhyming."[15] URB magazine noted that "whether it's the heart, soul or ovaries that are dictating the desires on I Love You's songs, always lurking under Amanda Blank's flow are Diplo's exotically growling beats, which remain sweaty, fast-paced and aggressive [...] her heartfelt lyrics makes [...] some of the most unexpectedly personable material to come out of Diplo's party-centric clique."[16] Commercial performanceIn its first week, I Love You sold 4,000 units in the United States.[17] As of February 2022, the album had sold a total of 29,000 copies in the US, according to Billboard.[17] Track listing
