Gnophos obfuscata
Gnophos obfuscata, commonly known as the Scotch annulet or Scottish annulet, is a moth of the family Geometridae. The species was first described by Michael Denis and Ignaz Schiffermüller in 1775. It can be found in northern, central, and southeastern Europe, as well as in Scotland, Ireland, and the Iberian Peninsula. The wingspan is 41–46 mm (1.6–1.8 in). Adults are on wing in July and August. The larvae feed on various plants found in heath areas, such as Calluna vulgaris and Saxifraga species. Subspecies
