Global Indian International School, Tokyo Campus or GIIS Tokyo (グローバル・インディアン・インターナショナル・スクール, Gurōbaru Indian Intānashonaru Sukūru) is an Indian international school in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo, Japan.[1] It is a part of the Global Indian International School network and it uses the International Baccalaureate Diploma and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of India curricula.[2]

History

In July 2006, the school was established, providing education from kindergarten through high school, with English as the medium of instruction. Presently, the institution operates across four campuses in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo.

As of 2022, the school has approximately 1,220 students; a little more than half of the student population are Japanese nationals, Indian nationals make up approximately one-third of the student enrollment, and the remaining student population comes from various mixed nationalities.

In 2022, the Leadership Lecture Series featured Aftab Seth, an Indian diplomat who had served as the ambassador of India to countries such as Greece, Vietnam, and Japan. The series continued in 2023 with speakers Suhas Risbood and Rohit Khandadia, focusing on "Sustainability."
