Gharidah Farooqi (Urdu: غریدہ فاروقی) is a Pakistani television host and anchorperson who was once part of Pakistan's biggest media group, Geo News.

She has worked with HEC Higher Education Commission as Office Secretary 2004–2009, PTV Home, ATV (Pakistan), Dunya TV, Geo News, and Samaa TV (2012). She is currently (in 2017) a senior anchorperson at Express News. Farooqi has hosted the current affairs TV program G for Gharidah (جي فار غريده) since 2015.

Farooqi earned a master's degree in International Relations from WISH Institute Islamabad.[citation needed]

Child abuse incident

On 25 July 2017, Lahore police recovered a fifteen year old maid from Farooqi's home, where she had been kept in illegal detention and tortured.[1][2][3] On 23 August 2017, Farooqi reached a settlement with the maid's mother.[4]
