Gestione Governativa Navigazione Laghi, or simply Navigazione Laghi, is an Italian governmental entity responsible for the administration of public navigation services on Lake Como, Lake Garda, and Lake Maggiore. It operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. Its fleet comprises 34 ships servicing Lake Como,[1] 28 ships servicing Lake Garda[2] and 35 ships servicing Lake Maggiore.[3] In 2011, the operator facilitated transportation for almost 8 million passengers, with a user base consisting predominantly of tourists. Additionally, the service plays a vital role in enhancing mobility for residents residing along the lakeshores. The network encompasses a total of 105 stopovers, distributed as follows: 25 within the Italian region of Lake Maggiore, 11 within the Swiss region, 27 along Lake Garda and 42 surrounding Lake Como.[4] Notes
