Forbes Township, Holt County, Missouri

Forbes Township is a township in southeastern Holt County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It is roughly 42 square miles. The village of Forbes is located in its southwest.

Forbes Township was established on March 22, 1871, out of the southern portion of Nodaway Township[2] A year later, on May 10, 1872, the township's northern boundary changed to match the congressional boundary resulting in Forbes Township expanding by six sections.[2]
