Ethan Azoulay
Ethane Azoulay[1] (Hebrew: איתן אזולאי; born 26 May 2002) is an Israel professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Israeli Premier League club Maccabi Haifa and the Israel national team. Early lifeAzoulay was born in Paris, France and emigrated to Israel when he was 2 years old.[2] Club careerAzoulay started his career in Beitar Tubruk, then played also for Maccabi Netanya, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Petah Tikva. On 12 June 2020, 2019–20 season, he made his debut in a 0–2 loss to Hapoel Ramat HaSharon at HaMoshava Stadium.[3] On 21 August 2022 signed in Maccabi Netanya for 3 season with option of more one season. Netanya paid 2.3 Million Shekels and became the most expensive player in the club's history.[4] International careerAzoulay is the captain of Israel national under-21 football team. He was a part of the Israel squad that qualified to the UEFA European Under-21 Championship semi final. He was named in the squad to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics.[5] Azoulay made his debut for the Israel national team on 10 October 2024 in a UEFA Nations League game against France at Bozsik Aréna in Budapest, Hungary.
