Township in Indiana, United States
Eagle Creek Township is one of eleven townships in Lake County, Indiana , United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,668 and it contained 709 housing units.[ 4]
History
Eagle Creek Township was established in 1839.[ 6]
The Kingsbury-Doak Farmhouse was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.[ 7]
Geography
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 56.01 square miles (145.1 km2 ), of which 55.84 square miles (144.6 km2 ) (or 99.70%) is land and 0.16 square miles (0.41 km2 ) (or 0.29%) is water.[ 4]
Education
Eagle Creek Township, along with Cedar Creek Township and West Creek Township , is served by the Tri-Creek School Corporation which includes Lowell High School .
