Dwight, North Dakota
Dwight is a city in Richland County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 80 at the 2020 census.[3] Dwight was founded in 1881. It is part of the Wahpeton, ND–MN Micropolitan Statistical Area. HistoryDwight was named for Jeremiah W. Dwight, the owner of the Dwight Farm and Land Company which ran a 27,000 acre bonanza farm, organized in 1879, in the area. There were 34 housing units at an average density of 170.0 per square mile (65.6/km2). The racial makup of the city was 100.0% White. Of the 32 households 46.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.6% were married couples living together, 9.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 46.9% were non-families. 40.6% of households were one person and 15.7% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.56 and the average family size was 3.59. The median age was 32 years. 32.9% of residents were under the age of 18; 2.4% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 31.7% were from 25 to 44; 23.2% were from 45 to 64; and 9.8% were 65 or older. Of the 33 households 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 39.4% were married couples living together, 6.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 45.5% were non-families. 45.5% of households were one person and 21.2% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.27 and the average family size was 3.22. The age distribution was 29.3% under the age of 18, 12.0% from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 16.0% from 45 to 64, and 17.3% 65 or older. The median age was 29 years. For every 100 females, there were 114.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.8 males. The median household income was $40,625 and the median family income was $53,125.
