Geography

The Dee River forms the south-eastern boundary.[3]

The Leichhardt Highway runs through the south-east corner.

The locality is presumably named after the creek (23.9833°S 150.0000°E / -23.9833; 150.0000 (Dumpy Creek (mouth))).[4]
