Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune is a deemed-to-be university[2] located in Pimpri, Pune, Maharashtra, India. It was established on January 11, 2003, under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, through a notification from the Government of India. The university offers a wide range of programs across multiple disciplines and is known for its emphasis on education, research, and healthcare.
Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth was established to promote higher education in diverse fields, particularly in health sciences and technical disciplines. Over the years, it has expanded to include a variety of academic units and has gained recognition for its infrastructure and academic offerings.

Affiliated Hospitals
The Vidyapeeth oversees five hospitals—Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, and Physiotherapy. Among these, the Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, and Homoeopathy hospitals are accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). These hospitals provide healthcare services and serve as training centers for students.
