De De Pyaar De 2 (transl. Give me love 2) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by T-Series Films and Luv Films.[1] It is a sequel to the 2019 film De De Pyaar De and stars Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Rakul Preet Singh.[2][3] The film has been rescheduled to release on 14 November 2025, however, makers have not revealed the exact reason for release date change.[4]

Plot

The plot takes off from where the previous film left off. As Ashish Mehra, the 55-year-old NRI investor in London who falls in love with 31-year-old independent girl Ayesha, and develops a serious relationship of living together. Ashish then decides to meet Ayesha's family to get their approval, after having previously received his own family's approval (in De De Pyaar De). What follows is a case of hilarious one-upmanship between Ashish and Ayesha's father.[5]

Development and casting

The film's script was finalized in August 2023, while the official announcement was made in March 2024. The film is directed by Anshul Sharma replacing Akiv Ali, with Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh returning as Ashish Mehra and Ayesha Khurana with R. Madhavan as Dev Khurana.[6] Anil Kapoor was initially signed to play Ayesha's father,[7] but later opted out and was replaced by R. Madhavan.[8]

Filming

Principal photography commenced in June 2024 at Mehboob Studio, Mumbai, Maharashtra, with next schedules set to happen in Punjab and London.[9][10] The Punjab schedule of the film was completed in September-Oxtober 2024. [11]

Release

De De Pyaar De 2 was scheduled to be released dated on Thursday 1 May 2025 coinciding with the long weekend of International Labour Day and Maharashtra Day, is now rescheduled to release on 14 November 2025.[12]

Distribution

Yash Raj Films acquired Worldwide distribution rights (including UK).
