Concinnia frerei
Concinnia frerei, also known commonly as the stout bar-sided skink or the stout barsided skink, is a species of lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to Queensland in Australia.[2] EtymologyThe specific name, frerei, refers to Mount Bartle Frere where the holotype was collected.[2][3] Geographic rangeC. frerei is found in northeastern Queensland.[2] HabitatThe preferred natural habitat of C. frerei is rocky mountaintops, at altitudes of 1,210–1,622 m (3,970–5,322 ft).[1] DescriptionC. frerei has five digits on each of its four feet.[2] The holotype, an adult male, has a snout-to-vent length of 6.6 cm (2.6 in), plus a tail length of 8.2 cm (3.2 in).[4] ReproductionC. frerei is ovoviviparous.[2] References
