Chojata District
Chojata District is one of eleven districts of the General Sánchez Cerro Province in Peru.[1] GeographyOne of the highest peaks of the district is Hatun P'ukru at approximately 5,153 m (16,906 ft). Other mountains are listed below:[2]
Ethnic groupsThe people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (85.33%) learnt to speak in childhood, 10.40% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[3] References
