Chizé (French pronunciation: [ʃize]) is a commune in the Deux-Sèvres department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in western France. In January 1973 it absorbed the former commune Availles-sur-Chizé,.[3]
The commune is traversed by the river Boutonne.
