Following the conclusion of the previous series, it was announced that the show would return for an eighteenth series. It was also confirmed that the judging panel of the prior series would remain the same, with Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli returning to the show. This is the first time in the show's history that they will air in February, instead of April.[2]
In November 2024, it was announced that the auditions will be entirely filmed in Blackpool and not in London for the first time in the show's history.[3]
