Bowen, Rio Grande County, Colorado

Bowen is an unincorporated community in Rio Grande County, in the U.S. state of Colorado.

History

The Bowen, Colorado, post office operated from May 1, 1883, until September 30, 1901.[1] Bowen is mentioned, along with Bowen School, in a 1910 USGS report.[2] Bowen Cemetery and Bowen Community United Methodist Church preserve the place name of the community.

Geography

Bowen is located at coordinates 37°25′48″N 108°06′43″W / 37.4301°N 108.1120°W / 37.4301; -108.1120 (Bowen, Colorado).[3]
